Hemotest (Waashing Process Indicator)
Prewashing process of medical instruments is a forward step toward disinfection control. This process leads to clean the blood residues on surgical instruments that may result in infection.
Since some contamination may clearly reside on the instruments after washing/disinfection process, identification of blood residual source and/or corrosion deems necessary to pick the suitable method of sterilization or instruments elimination eventually.
Washing process indicators confirm accuracy of full post-washing disinfection through high sensitivity to an existing enzyme in blood which may lead to non color change in test result.
These test identify possible 0.1 mg blood residues less than one minute and without long incubation.
How to use
- The fluid of transparent-capped tube is mixed with the solid in green-capped tube and then shaken well to be solved. The mixture clearly responds to residual enzyme of blood.
- If the considered surface is wet, rub the swap on it. If the surface is dry, first turn the swap wet with dry water and then rub on the surface.
- Then, shake the swap in the green-capped tube that contains the fluid of transparent tube and the solid in green-capped tube.
- Swap and/or fluid color change to green-blue not only reflects blood contamination of instruments, but also washing process non-accuracy.
