Steam Type 5 Chemical Indicator
The Steam Type 5 Chemical Indicator is designed for steam sterilization at 121 & 134 ˚ C. Full color change of indicators after being used in the chamber guarantees the accuracy of sterilization cycle and sterilizer as well.
Operational Feature
Type 5 Indicators are integrated with different color change duration. Within sterilization process, inks change color depending on the exposure to steam and below results are achieved:
If just the first ink color is changed from mustard yellow to dark brown and no color change occurs on the second ink, it reveals inappropriate sterilization condition.
In case of second ink color change from pink to dark brown following first ink proper color change, sterilization cycle is performed accurately and instruments are considered sterile.
